New Here?

We invite you to start here!

Kindness Cards

We aim to serve people wherever we are.  That means you might have received one of our Kindness Cards!  This is a quick way for us to tell you that we love you and God loves you (without taking up way more of your time).  But you can find more information below!

Why did I receive this card?

There are several reasons that you may have received this card, but the big one is that God loves the person who handed the card to you, and He loves you too. You may have heard that before, that “God loves you,” but you may find it hard to believe. In fact, you may even have had an experience where someone did not just TELL you that God loves you, but YELLED that He loves you. Hopefully, you didn’t experience that today. We’re not a people who try to coerce you into believing that God loves you, we’d rather just show you. And that is why you received this card today.

Wait… so a small act of kindness proves that God loves me?

No, not explicitly, but we hope it made your day a little brighter! When Jesus was alive on Earth, He actively reached out to the people who lived around Him, trying to serve them in a way that met their needs. Now, Jesus was pretty good at this, and we don’t pretend to be able to meet all of the same needs that He could (sorry, no matter how many water bottles you bring over, we cannot guarantee you’ll leave with wine). The accounts of Jesus in the Bible show Him feeding the five thousand, feeding the four thousand, and yes, turning water into wine, amongst many others. Jesus constantly found new ways to meet the most basic needs of those around Him.

So what’s the catch?

No catch. This isn’t meant to trick you, or guilt you into coming to church. We’d love it if you would come, but if anything comes of our service, we just want you to think for a second that maybe there is a Savior who loves you, who is waiting for you to start believing in Him; maybe you will understand that He is not some magic man in the sky, but rather your Creator, who knew you before you were born.

You think you’re better than me?

No, we honestly don’t. The Bible teaches that everyone has sinned, that includes every single person you saw serving you today. We’re Christians, but we know that doesn’t make us perfect. We do believe that our sin has been forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We also believe that Christ’s sacrifice can apply to you if you accept it.

Where can I get more information?

Obviously, we don’t expect this simple act to explain everything to you. If you want to find out more about Jesus, the best place to look is at a local church. Christianity was never intended to be a journey that someone goes on alone. If you would like to look into Christianity by yourself before looking into a local church, here are the basics.

  • God Created the world and everything around and in it (Genesis 1)
  • Adam and Eve sinned (Genesis 3)
  • God set up a redemption plan… Jesus would come to die to save us from our sin (Isaiah 53:12)
  • Jesus DID die and save us from our sin (Romans 5:8)
  • Why do we need to be saved? (Romans 6:23)

So here’s what to do

  • Believe in Jesus’ sacrifice and confirm that He is Lord over all Creation… even your own life. (Romans 10:9)
  • Repent of your sins (Acts 17:30, Acts 2:38)
  • Get baptized (1 Peter 3:21)
  • Go do good works (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Feel free to contact our church with any questions as well and for more information on becoming a Christian.
