at Joppatowne High School
This Easter we’re leaving our building and bringing the gospel message into our community! Christ has risen from the dead and we want everyone to hear about it. But because it’d be creepy if we showed up in your house uninvited, we’ve rented the auditorium at Joppatowne High School and we’d love for you to join us there!
Here are the details:
Who: You, whoever you are, whatever you believe (or don’t)
What: Joppatowne Christian Church’s worship service. We believe we can worship Jesus anywhere and a comfortable auditorium is a great place to do it.
Where: Joppatowne High School’s auditorium, come see our wonderful students’ trophies and art while you’re visiting!
When: Easter! That’s April 1st this year at 10:15 AM
Why: Jesus is risen from the dead and we have a lot to celebrate!
Do I have to dress up?
While a lot of people do tend to dress up for Easter services, you’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like (please wear clothes). Feel free to don your Sunday best or what you’d wear to go to the grocery store. There will probably be both kinds of people and many more at our service on Sunday.
Will there be childcare available?
We were only able to rent the auditorium from the school district so there won’t be a separate space for childcare. Our hard working Nursery and Kids Church volunteers will get a week off this week. But don’t worry, no one is going to mind if a baby cries or a kid gets a little rambunctious. Easter is something for the whole family to celebrate. We invite you all to Joppatowne High School.
What is your service like?
We’re going to try to match as close to our regular service as possible. We’ll sing worship songs, read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, take up an offering (don’t worry, guests aren’t expected to give!), partake of the Lord’s Supper, and pray. The service should take approximately one hour.
Can I get a feel for the service before I come?
You’re welcome to stop by our building (725 Trimble Road, Joppa, MD) on any Sunday and/or you can listen to our sermons here.
Where is Joppatowne Christian Church’s building in relation to Joppatowne High School?
We’re just around the corner, a 4-minute drive according to Google Maps.
