Common Ground
Worship Service at
Towne Grill & Pub
On September 22nd we’re leaving our building and bringing the gospel message into our community! We think we have a message that’s important and that everyone should hear about it. But because it’d be creepy if we showed up in your house uninvited, we’re meeting at Towne Grill & Pub and we’d love for you to join us there on common ground!
Here are the details:
Who: You, whoever you are, whatever you believe (or don’t)
What: Joppatowne Christian Church’s worship service. We believe we can worship Jesus anywhere and the patio at TGP is a great place to do it.
Where: Towne Grill & Pub (1006 Joppa Farm Road) out back on the patio!
When: September 22nd at 10:15 AM (September 29th if it rains on the 22nd)
Why: We don’t expect you to come to us to hear good news about Jesus; it’s our responsibility to tell the world. And Towne Grill & Pub is a perfect place for community gatherings.
FAQs
Do I have to dress up?
You’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like (just… please wear clothes). Dress comfortably enough to sit outside for an hour on the 22nd.
Will there be childcare available?
While we have childcare available during normal Sunday services, space at Towne Grill & Pub is limited so our hard working Nursery and Kids Church volunteers will get a week off that week. But don’t worry, no one is going to mind if a baby cries or a kid gets a little rambunctious. We love when families learn and worship together.
What is your service like?
We’re going to try to match as close to our regular service as possible. We’ll sing worship songs, read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, take up an offering (don’t worry, guests aren’t expected to give!), partake of the Lord’s Supper, and pray. The service should take approximately one hour.
Can I get a feel for the service before I come?
You’re welcome to stop by our building (725 Trimble Road, Joppa, MD) on any Sunday and/or you can listen to our sermons here.
Where is Joppatowne Christian Church’s building in relation to Towne Grill & Pub?
We’re a 6-minute drive down Trimble Road.
